Northeastern prospect makes commitment

Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO is coached by Eddie Trenkle. The Plainsmen play in Region 9 with the likes of Lamar CC,North Platte CC ,Sheridan and Western Nebraska to name just a few programs. AJ Wilson decided to take his game to the Ohio Valley Conference next season and JucoJunction has the latest on where Wilson will suit up.

Wilson, (SO) 6-foot-6 (215) from St. Paul, MN, will play at Murray State University next season according to coach Trenkle. Wilson prepped at Mount Zion Christian Academy in Durham, NC before landing in junior college. AJ signed with South Alabama University out of Mount Zion but landed at College of Southern Idaho but never played at CSI.
"AJ is a very talented player and this is a solid get for the Racers," said JucoJunction staff analyst Bret Swanson.
Wilson averaged 16.1 ppg and .2 rebounds this past season while shooting 61% from the floor. AJ scored 746 career points in 63 games played while grabbing 398 rebounds for the Plainsmen.
Wilson received interest from Arkansas State also in the recruiting process this spring. The Plainsmen finished the year at 22-11 this past season. JucoJunction will keep an eye on the rest of the Plainsmen recruitment when something develops this spring.
