Over the summer, it was a little tough to find Jamaal Smith. However, the former Eastern Utah star has landed at Indian Hills in Iowa and is a member of JucoJunction's pre-season all-America team.
Smith will be playing for new Indian Hills coach Jeff Kidder, who was familiar with his game from Kidder's days at Dixie College in Utah.

"He's a very good player," Kidder said. "He's explosive, can really shoot the ball. He's a mid-to-high-major kid."
That is reflected in some of the schools who have been through to see Smith this month. Kidder listed New Mexico, Illinois State, Utah State and Auburn as those showing heavy interest.
Smith will likely be the only Division One signee from Kidder's team, but the coach likes what he sees.
"We have 11 new freshmen and three sophomores, so we're very young, and all of them are new to me," Kidder said. "We've got some raw talent and I think we've got a chance."
JucoJunction will keep pace with Smith's recruitment throughout the year.
JucoJunction will continue to follow junior college recruiting across the land. To talk about this story with other juco hoops fans, check out the JucoJunction Board or our premium forum.
