GPC still loaded with prospects
Georgia Perimeter College had been the dominant force in the Georgia Region in years past. This season the South Georgia Tech Jets took their game to Hutchinson, KS for the national tourney. The Jaguars of Georgia Perimeter College ended the season at 19-14 this season under head coach Alfred Barney. JucoJunction had a chance to touch base with assistant coach David Dennis on whats going on with some of the Jaguars' recruitment this spring in this article.

Anthony Miller, 6-foot-1 (185) from Hinesville, GA, is a shooting guard who averaged 13.7 ppg this season for the Jaguars.
"Anthony is an excellent shooter and a tough hard-nosed player," said Dennis.
Jacksonville State, South Alabama and TCU have expressed interest in Miller this spring according to coach Dennis.
Jamail Turner, (SO) 6-foot-4 (205) from Nunez, GA, was a runner-up for player of the year honors this season in region play. Turner, a wing player, averaged 14.9 ppg and 5.7 rebounds this season. Turner will sit out and pay his own way if it is the right situation according to assistant coach David Dennis. Alabama State and TCU have expressed interest in Turner this spring. Turner averaged 12.1 ppg and 6.1 rebounds as a freshman.
Omar Thomas, (SO) 6-foot-7 (230) from Detroit,MI, signed with Western Carolina out of high school but didn't qualify academically. Thomas attended Kilgore College (TX) as a freshman.
"Omar is an excellent low post player with great footwork. Omar can score in the low post with a variety of moves," said Dennis.
Thomas averaged 8.2 ppg and 5.9 rebounds this past season. Arkansas Little Rock has expressed interest in Thomas this spring.
Michael Tippins, (SO) 6-foot-9 (205) from Valdosta, GA, played the whole season this year with a stress fracture according to coach Dennis. Tippins averaged 5.7 ppg , 5.9 rebounds and 2 blocks a game this season for the Jaguars. Florida International and several Division Two schools have expressed interest in Tippins this spring.
Steve McNabb, (SO) 6-foot-0 (175) from Chicago, IL, prepped at Percy Julian High School in Chicago. McNabb a point guard averaged 10.3 ppg, 3.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists this season for the Jaguars.
"Steve can get to the basket when he wants to. He can really get end to end very quickly," said Dennis.
McNabb will have to go the D2/NAIA route according to coach Dennis.
