EKB Showcase: Must See Event for JC Coaches
Where do junior college coaches go to find talent each spring? For many top programs, the answer has been the EKB High School and JUCO Roundball Showcase, which will be held this weekend in Elizabeth, N.J.
A one-day event, this year's edition will take place on Sunday, April 13 at the Dunn Center in Elizabeth, N.J. The Dunn Center is connected to Elizabeth H.S.

The event is divided into two parts -- the high school component, featuring top unsigned high school seniors as well as underclassmen in the metropolitan area. This part will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and it has become a fertile recruiting stop for many top JC programs.
Then from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., junior college sophomores, freshmen plus a handful of transfers from four-year schools will take the court to show their wares to NCAA Division II and III schools.
Admission to the event is free. Ed Butler, who has run this highly successful event for many years, is offering a comprehensive program with player bio and data information. The cost of the packet is $80 to non-EKB Scouting Service subscribers, and just $10 to subscribers.
