Shakir Brown will play at James Madison University next fall.

Brown, a Baltimore, MD native, played this past season at Angelina College in Lufkin, TX.

Brown, a combo forward, averaged 20.3 ppg, 10.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists for the Roadrunners. The Roadrunners finished the season at 21-10 under head coach Todd Neighbors.

Brown shot 48% (221-460) from the floor and 37% (66-181) from three point range.

Brown started his college career at Iowa Western Community College.

Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Morehead State and Wagner all showed strong interest in Brown before deciding on the Dukes.
